Every year a private performance by invitation only, is held the Friday before the event for 4,000 students (grades 3-5), invited as guests of the Rodeo committee from twelve local school districts private and parochial schools. Excitement rungs high as many of the children experience their first taste of professional Rodeo. Prior to the event, through their classroom teachers, all of the children receive a special booklet which gives not only the history of the West, but information about rodeos. This booklet is used as a focal point for their studios of Western history and is contributed by the Rodeo Committee and Walmart*.
