Every
year
a
special
Private
Performance,
by
invitation
only,
is
held
the
Friday
before
the
event
for
5,000
students
(grades
3-5),
invited
as
guests
of
the
Rodeo
Committee
from
twelve
local
school
districts,
private
and
parochial
schools.
Excitement
runs
high
as
many
of
the
children
experience
their
first
taste
of
professional
rodeo.
Prior
to
the
event,
through
their
classroom
teachers,
all
of
the
children
receive
a
special
booklet
which
gives
not
only
the
history
of
the
West,
but
information
about
rodeos.
This
booklet
is
used
as
a
learning
tool
for
their
studies
of
Western
history
and
is
provided
to
the
schools
by
the
Rodeo
Committee.
This
visit
to
the
Rodeo
is
a
field
trip
they
look
forward
to
and
enjoy. |
