Families can learn more about rodeos by downloading our Rodeo Activity Booklet here

The Workman and Temple Family Homestead Museum created this year’s Community Kids Day booklet, and helped to supervise the smooth operation of all aspects of this special day. This year, in conjunction with the La Puente Valley Historical Society, they once again will offer some special activities for Rodeo fans to introduce the history of the Rodeo and its place in early California history. Just as the Rodeo reminds us of our rich Western heritage, the Homestead Museum helps us to link the past, present, and future through a variety of programs that educate and entertain. The museum features the Workman House, a Victorian-era home constructed around an 1840s adobe; La Casa Nueva, a 1920s Spanish Colonial Revival mansion, and El Campo Santo, one of the oldest private cemeteries in Southern California. The Museum is open for free public tours Wednesday-Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. (guided tours depart on the hour). The Museum is closed Mondays, Tuesdays and major holidays.
