City of Industry - Anthony Rivera and the Raining Horseshoes return for the fourth consecutive year to entertain at the Industry Hills Pro Rodeo, at the Saturday Night Dance, Oct. 11, at the Industry Expo Center.
The Norco-based band will rock the Rodeo Dance following the Rodeo at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11.
Raining Horseshoes is a favorite on the California Pro Rodeo Circuit with its powerful country music and rodeo rock 'n' roll. Influenced by the great Buck Owens, George Strait, Willie Nelson and Chris LeDoux, Raining Horseshoes takes the best sounds from Bakersfield, Nashville and Texas into its own music catalog of songs about honky-tonks, broken hearts and rowdy rodeos.
Raining Horseshoes has opened for national headliners such as sleep at the Wheel, Suzy Bogguss, Tanya Tucker, Ricky Skaggs and Ty Herndon. They entertain regularly at fairs, PRCA rodeos and country music dance venues.
It was in 2001 that Rivera noticed that gates open two hours prior to the beginning of rodeos, and he contacted the Industry Hills Charity Pro Rodeo offering to provide entertainment to increase awareness about the rodeo and its fund-raising mission.
Performing at Industry Hills is important to lead singer Rivera. "Rodeo proceeds can change a child's future and Raining Horseshoes is committed to helping those in need and promoting the Industry Hills Charity Pro Rodeo through music and entertainment," he said. "And I respect the professionalism, dedication and hard work of the rodeo committee. Their attention to detail is evident from the Grand Entry Parade, competitive events and Saturday night rodeo dance."
Raining Horseshoes' CDs will be on sale at the Rodeo, with all proceeds from each CD going to The Gabriel Foundation and Industry Hills Pro Rodeo.
Raining Horseshoes members are Anthony Rivera, lead vocals/acoustic guitar; Glen Thomas, drums; Ken Weinstock, bass; Ian Francisco, keyboard; Art Holland, lead guitar; Paul Haaker, fiddle and pedal steel guitar and Gina Harland, harmony vocals.
